Farmers Market Food Voucher Program

July 1st will be Strawberry Patch and Zephyr's day so save the date!
Lehigh County Area on Aging will be doing the paperwork, for which we thank them profusely.
Alex's Lemonade stand will be open for refreshments by a requested loose change donation.

Zephyr Apts 3150 Lehigh Street, Whitehall, PA 18052, will be hosting its residents and local walk in's from 10:30-12 noon.
Zephyr is a locked building and all visitors must come up the back stairs and follow the sign to the community room.

Strawberry Patch Village 1000 4th Street, Whitehall, PA 18052,  will hosting its residents and local walk in's from 1:30-2:30.

We ask that you do not arrive early as the doors will be open promptly as scheduled.
LHCAA will be giving out vouchers as long as their supply lasts.

Strawberry Patch's Father's Day Heritage Luncheon

Strawberry Patch held their annual Father's Day luncheon on 6/13/14. We ad some wonderful dishes to choose from. Ziti, Eggplant Parm, Garlic bread, Chicken Waffles, Green bean salad, Cauliflower spaghetti and dessert was Sherbet. Yum! Many thanks to the ladies that came and prepared the feast we all got to enjoy!

Zephyr Apts Yard Sale 6/7/14

Zephyr's Resident Association and Resident Yard sale was again a big hit. Many in the community came out to buy the residents wares and purchase from our baked goods table, which befitted the Resident Association.  The weather was wonderful and many thanks to the volunteers who set up and cleaned up.  All the left over items from the Resident Association were donated to the Good will Industries n Fogelville, PA.  There is already talk of repeating the yard sale again next year for the residents that are interested in downsizing...

Qigong for sleep!

Having trouble sleeping? Check out Dr. Oz's  website, www.doctoroz.com. Look for the Kung Fu Master, Karl Romain's mini Qigong for sleep video. I have tried it and it works.

Karl talks you through the routine. You are in a seated position and just move your arms. He leads you through relaxing the major parts of your body systems.

 My 6 year old grandson and I do it every night before prayers. Try it !!!! It helps us...

Strawberry Patch Village Red Lobster Luncheon Fiasco...

RED LOBSTER was the luncheon of choice for the Strawberry Patch Residents Christmas Social. Never Again... It was all organized and executed well until it was faxed to Red Lobster 5 pm the night before the Social. Where the ball was dropped by.Red Lobster. Red  Lobster was called at 11:30 am the day of the social but they claimed they never got the order. The order was re-faxed and surprise the order was not       available for pick up until 1:15pm. Needless to say everyone's lunch was in the order but MINE!  The           BEST  part of the social was the meeting and Chinese auction. These photos are of my wonderful                 residents that won!

Santa's 12/21/13 visit to Zephyr Apartments

The kids were not the only ones to get into the Holiday Spirit. The Zephyr Resident Association invited all the building residents to bring their grand children and great grand children to visit with Santa. The celebration included snacks and gifts for the kids from Santa.  Kudos for the Resident Association.
